Not sure why he can't find the observations showing gust over 118 mph plus the sustained winds he wants... I assume the NHC has explained the criteria to him by now, hench his slow update to us on his inquiry.

I don't think anyone ask why the NHC placed it as a hurricane? "Did you consider that he might be asking questions so he can better explain things to us?" Bob is just trying to save face on a hurricane he missed that hit the US, one of the first in almost two years at that. Bob is by no means on the same level as the NHC forecasters to question them.

CCM is just a certified counseling meteorologist desination that you get from the AMS which you have to be a member of 1st, then you just fill out app pay some fees take a exam and write an essay score just 70 and bingo! you are a CCM! all in under 4 months... Can't believe Bob is questioning the NHC, most likely because Bob missed a big event in the Gulf! Just trying to save face now.. Forecast record for 07 still remains a 0 or 3
